Hi!  My name is Carrie and I'm the creator of Bluestocking Etiquette: a modern approach to etiquette for those with intellectual and literary interests who want to boost their confidence and become a part of a revolution for a more mannered society. 

 

I started Bluestocking Etiquette with my fellow bookworms and smarty-pants in mind, as our bibliophilia can often impede our social interactions.  We tend to be introverted, preferring quiet evenings at home with our noses buried in books, escaping life in the real world to become immersed in someone else's reality.  We oftentimes renege on commitments we've made to others; not because we're trying to be rude, but because socializing drains us of our energy; and conversation, especially with people to whom we've just been introduced, makes us uncomfortable and self-conscious.  But even though we don't mean to be rude, our actions, or rather our inactions, say to others that we don't respect them enough to show up.  And respect is the cornerstone of good etiquette. 

 

Utilizing online courses and digital content, I've created an etiquette program without fluff or pretense that will give you the tools to be confident in any social or professional setting.  You'll soon find that others will emulate your behavior thereby creating a domino effect toward a more respectful society!
